Even with its light weight and slim design, the HX-DC1P is able to render images in breathtaking Full-HD (1920 x 1080). Files are recorded in the MPEG-4 format and are widely used because they combine video and sound in the same file for easy saving onto a PC and quick upload to the internet. "Full-HD video with 1920 x 1080 pixels" in Panasonic Upright HD Camcorder refers to video recordings with 1920 pixels in the horizontal direction and 1080 pixels in the vertical direction.

Depending on the situation, you can quickly switch between high-quality still images with 14-megapixel resolution or Full HD video. You can also capture 2-megapixel still images while recording a video by simply pressing the Still button (which will vary depending on the video mode used for shooting).
